Ellie's school has picture day each year. One in the fall and one in the spring. We usually buy a package to mark the school year. This year they had an additional picture day that was unique. The photo would be turned into a hand sketched drawing. I was completely against it and requested that she not be photographed. Well they did it anyway and I understood why. Ellie would have had to stand there with her other classmates and not be photographed. Too much for a 4 year old. So they pulled her hair from her ponytail and photographed her. This morning the portraits were in.
I walked into the class with Ellie a bit late today. When we walked in the teacher came running to me and told me that I just had to see Ellie's portrait. I was floored and immediately agreed to buy the portrait. It is lovely and I had to have it.

Ms. Zanegood,
I couldn't resist looking for your blog and the picture of the final portrait immediately! I remember your daughter. She was absolutely precious that day. I am thrilled to see the portrait came out so well and even happier that you love it. Thank you again for your kind words over the phone today. You made my day. =) Please contact me in the future if you ever have any questions. Thanks again!
