Sagan's Birthday Package

Today we mailed a third package to Korea, but this one was more difficult for me. It contained 2 presents for Sagan's birthday which will be on November 30. When my friend Judy realized that she would not be with her daughter on her first birthday (they were adopting her from China in 2006)she was quite sad. I could not understand her pain...until now. It was painful to pack the box up and include a birthday card (written in Korean and English) knowing that she would not be opening them with us.

We also included some treats (cookies, candies, and coffee) for her foster family who we know are taking such great care of our sweet girl. They really deserve to have her with them on her first birthday. She has been with them since her birth. This birthday is for them. We will enjoy the rest of them.

Once again I translated the best I could using Babel Fish on Alta Vista. I am hoping against hope that I am not insulting the foster family in any way. Here is the letter.
