A Day at the Beach!

What do you do on the first Sunday after football season ends?

ROADTRIP!

We decided early this morning to pack up the car and take the girls to the beach. Yes, the beach. Honestly, I do not care for the whole sand and surf concept, but was completely sold last April when we traveled on the Disney Cruise. Spending the day at Castaway Cay was so much fun and relaxing. Can't wait to go again.

So we traveled to Clearwater Beach (90 min from Orlando) and settled onto the sand. Ellie was so enthralled and Sagan couldn't figure out how to walk on sand. The water was cold but the sun kept the sand warm. Ellie flew her kite (Thanks to Stacy, Darren, Chloe and Chelsea) and had such a grand time doing it. It was hysterical to watch her. When she took hold of the string Fred would tell her to run and she would run either in tight circles or run sprints of about 15 feet. I was laughing to hard!

Sagan easily spent an hour scooping sand into a bucket. Over and over again. Only to look up to yell at a passing sea bird who got too close.

We had a great time and will explore another beach next month.
