We decided to make today a special day. We opted not to take Liam and Shelby to another boring restuarant but to take them on a picnic at the Dr. Phillips Community Park. I packed a simple meal of Publix Chicken, salads, chip/dip, fruit and brownies. Everything was well received.
But first we played in the park, but it was a very hot day. So we took the girls to the water area to cool off. That was nice. Then close to 6 we dried off and went to the picnic table for dinner. Everything was quite yummy. Sagan devoured the watermelon. It was a sight. When there was no ketchup on Sagans plate to dip her chicken she leaned over and dipped in Ellie's plate. Very resourceful kid.
We also had a wonderful visit from Sean and Kylie. They made it just in time for a bite before heading back onto the playground to burn off dinner.
Ellie had a spill but it was more of a fright. I know the difference. She was not crying in the "pain" way but whimpering. That lets me know that she is ok but was just scared. After an application of a wipee cloth she was great once again.
