Today is a monumental day of "firsts!"
Today Sagan will attend a mock day of school at Good Sam. Yesterday, I took Sagan (only Sagan) to Good Sam to meet the teacher and play in the classroom for 15 minutes. She loved it. I acutally left the room for about 10 minutes and she did not cry. She interacted with the teachers and children She painted, did puzzles, and talked to the other kids. There is one lovely Chinese girl that she gravitated to. Go figure!
When we left she was upset. Play! Play! Toys! Was what she said to me. No crying, but upset nonetheless.
Fred gets the honor of dropping the girls off together at camp. I am sure that he will stop by Panera (where I hang out on Tuesday mornings) to give me an update.
The second firsts will surely irk my good friend Tina! Sagan is only 20 months now and today she went peepee on the potty! WHOOOO HOOOO!
This morning Ellie woke up and walked into the bathroom. Sagan immediately began to grab at her pajamas. With some assistance she got undressed and sat on the training potty. It's really cute and I would love to take a picture of it. Sagan on the training potty and Ellie on the big girl potty chatting it up. Laughing, giggling. It's really very sweet. So Sagan sat for about 5 minutes. I was giving Ellie a quick bath and Sagan just sat.
When I picked Sagan up for her bath there was PEEEPEEE in the potty! We danced and cheered for Sagan. We are sure she had no idea why she was being honored but she did point to the potty and say PEEPEEE! This is surely the first step in potty training!
I hope to have her out of diapers (night night diapers excluded) by her 2 year old birthday.
