Today Fred and I had the pleasure of helping out at the Bay Meadows Elementary Field Day! It was a great distraction to the underlying meaning of today.
Fred and I were in charge of "Star Wars Dodgeball!"
In this game the children are split into two teams, The Clones and the Stormtroopers. There is about 30 foam balls and 2 foam bats. If you get hit by a ball then you must kneel down. The person who is holding the bat is the Jedi. The jedi must avoid getting hit by the flying foam Galactic Bombs and touch the kneeling warrior to heal them so they may continue playing.
Yea, explain this to Kindergartners and First Graders!
It was lots of fun!

Ellie has tremendous AIM!
Daddy used the words "Vulnerable" and "Defensive" when explaining to a kindergarten class. I am sure the explanation went WAY over their little heads!
