The Napping House: Where Everyone Is Sleeping (Except for Mommy Who is Blogging)

It's 1pm on Saturday and the house is quiet. So quiet and its divine. Everyone is napping except for me (of course) and they are recharging their batteries to enjoy a busy Saturday evening. Just to let you know that my girls went to bed late at 9pm last night and woke up as usual at 6am!). The nap was necessary to ensure a "stress free" evening.

Obviously on school days Ellie does not nap. She can make it through her day waking up at 7am and passing out at 730pm. She loves to sleep. We try not to let her stay up later on school night as that tends to give her headaches which we would like to avoid. Ellie will be going to her BFF's house tonight to enjoy a slumber party. Michelle likes to stay up late and I wanted to make sure that Ellie could stay up late too without any negative consequences (headaches or random tears).

Sagan still craves her naps though we are trying to option her out of them. She is now 3 years 5 months and naps could be phased out. However, if we take her nap away she can be found about 3-4pm passed out on her bed, carpet, in her closet, on a chair, or just about anywhere she happens to decide that enough is enough. So we try. Next school year if she cannot get out of her nap phase she will only attend school from 9-12. If she can get through a day without napping we can extend her school day. I don't see it happening. We are big supporters of this equation:

Nap = Good Behavior!

Of course there is Uma and Asia. They just nap all the time. They are cats and 23 hours each day can be found curled up somewhere enjoying the leisurely life they lead.
