Prom Shopping with Marie Grace and Elizabeth

What started out as a shopping trip for me to find clothes (sun dresses in particular) turned into a fun afternoon of Prom Dress SHOPPING! Whoo Hooo!

We first went to David's Bridal and we were sure we found THE ONE! A glorious deep purple and crystal dress. It was perfect and it fit her beautifully!

It's a great story.

We decided at 200.00 to keep looking and put it on hold till 6pm tonight. When we shopped Macy's there wasn't anything as nice as what she had in her closet (She has 4-5 really nice formal dresses in her closet very prom worthy) or as nice as the magenta trumpet dress she tried on at David's. So we called it a day.

When I got home I decided to see if we could find it on ebay or craigslist. Perhaps someone wanted to sell it after their prom. So I needed an item number from David's Bridal website. When I happened upon the identical prom dress on the David's website it was $99.50! A full 100.00 less then what we saw it for in the store! One quick call to Liz and the ball was rolling. She called her sister Denise who was closer to the store at the time (Only 60 minutes before the store was to close!). Denise got there within 15 minutes of the store closing and bought the dress.

The store confirmed the dress was indeed ringing up at $99.50! WOW! Great deal!

Mind you Marie Grace knows nothing about the dress. They will give it to her tonight! She will freak out! I am very excited for her.
