The space shuttle launched at 6:21 am this morning. Fred went outside to see the shuttle rise on its lift off above the houses just outside our front door.
Sagan and I went outside briefly to see the launch as well.
About 5 minutes after the shuttle lifted off the house began to shake and rattle! OMG I was totally freaking out (California's earthquake yesterday didnt help) the front door was shaking so hard that I ran outside to see Fred. It was the sound waves coming from the Cape that shook the house. I was freaked! So was Uma. We couldn't find Uma for 10 minutes and we were concerned. We thought she might have gotten outside. We found her hiding behind the bookcase. Obviously she was hiding due to the rumble.

lol it rattled our house too! Except, I didn't know about the launch and was sleeping, only to be woken up by my bed shaking, and the rumbling and everything on my night table moving! I was really thinking there was an earthquake after hearing about the California one! ...of course then I went outside to hear my mother say, "what a beautiful shuttle launch!" Oh. lol.
