A Carbless Week

I will admit that since the cruise in March I have continued to eat carbs each day. I haven't paid much attention to what I am eating. So this week is a carbless week (till Thursday at least).

I will be in the office at FLVS on Thursday to participate in instructional interviews. When Fred took the girls swimming on Saturday I took myself to the mall to buy a few pieces of office attire. The interesting thing about working from home is that you don't need to dress up!

While at Ann Taylor, my favorite store because I am an 8 in its clothes, I tried on a few pieces. The one I liked the most was a black sheath dress. It was very basic and I could dress it up with whatever I wanted. I also bought a really nice pencil skirt.

The sheath dress was a perfect fit. Curves and all. Most of the time it is boxy. This one was cut just for me. The only thing I didn't care for was my tummy. Just a little showed but I knew what was causing it. Carbs. So in order to trim down to look better in this dress was to do a carbless week. By Thursday I will be fine.

What gets me is that while I did not have any carbs (well I had some but no bread) is that I was never hungry. While when I eat carbs I feel hungry. Protein keeps me going and I am very pleased that I did not go insane with the girls yesterday.

I was drinking lots of coffee so the caffeine likely helped too.
