Ellie's Trip to the Orthodontist
Thursday Ellie had an orthodontist appointment. Her front teeth are growing in crooked and that concerned me. So I scheduled an appointment for a consult.
Good news and bad news.
No orthodontic care needed for 2 years. That's the good news.
2 baby teeth must be extracted to allow for the front teeth to settle into place properly.
Fred and I are preparing to buy Ellie a car. The guilt is overwhelming.
We want to get it done ASAP. We will probably have it done next Thursday if we can manage it. We will make the mini-vacation into a little present for our poor baby Bella.
We were told the healing time for baby teeth extraction is very quick. Kids are just fine. Tylenol.

glad to hear that you get a 2 year reprieve. we will be getting round 2 of braces on in the next 2 weeks. Josie is chewing as much gum as possible right now, because once they go on, there is no more gum and it will be about 2 years until these come off.
Josie had one tooth pulled. She was fine by dinner that night. It was done early in the morning. You will need more drugs than Ellie will.
That's what I said! Gas for her. A bottle of wine for mommy. It's not pretty. Amazingly enough...the tooth that was preventing the new front tooth from coming down straight went wiggly a week ago and with a 10.00 bribe Ellie pulled it out yesterday! Thank goodness one less tooth to extract!
