Mommy is Sick....Daddy's in Charge of Dinner OYE

So about 4pm I started to feel poorly. I woke up this morning with a sore throat. About 4pm I took to my bed and stayed there.

It was funny. The girls were all confused. Sagan came in and asked if it was, "Night night time."

A minute later Sagan came running in and behind her a perplexed Fred and Ellie. "Mommy's in bed!" Ellie exclaimed. I never thought of it. I get up at 5am and go to bed at 9pm. The kids never see me in bed. :-) LOL

So Fred is in charge of dinner at 6:30pm. I made a nice large salad at lunch today so there was a vegetable at the ready. Fred made chicken tenders and whole grain rolls.

So Sagan, who loves salad, digs in. She takes a piece of artichoke and makes a face. Sagan is telling Fred that she doesn't like it. Fred tells her to "spit it out" which means (To Ellie) take your napkin and remove it from your mouth.

SAGAN DOESN'T KNOW THAT! So she SPITS the artichoke out! It makes a beautiful arc and HITS Ellie. Ellie is stunned!

Fred now knows to coach Sagan through the napikin process. LOL!
