Obscure Film I Love: "People Will Talk"

I love Cary Grant. Who doesn't.

I don't know how I came upon this film, possibly AMC movie classics on cable, but I saw it once and I moved heaven and Earth to get a copy.



This movie is about a woman who is expecting a baby in a time when you didn't have a baby out of wedlock. After trying to hurt herself her out of desperation her doctor marries her (he tells her she is not pregnant after all). He knows full well she is expecting but marries her to save her. It's a lovely story. I remember watching it many Sunday mornings in bed with Pilsbury cressent rolls and coffee with Fred.
