Poor Sagan!
If she picked up her blue Holt bag that she came with and headed out the door we would not blame her!
Today, in addition to all of the tests, shots, and bloodwork that is required of new babies, Sagan had her MRI. Compared to Ellie's MRI 2 years ago it was nothing!
I woke up this morning at 4am to prepare. I had to be in Daytona right after for an overnight conference. To be blogged later!
So I showered and grabbed two really quick cups of coffee. I did not want to drink in front of Sagan. She was not allowed to eat or drink after 8pm last night.
She woke up bright and early at 5:15am! I put her on the bed with Fred and she watched 2 episodes of Oobie. By 6am we were ready to go. I took Sagan to the hospital while Fred stayed with Ellie. He would meet us later.
Sagan and I got to the hosptial at 7am and we checked in. We were the first MRI (they schedule the youngest first as they have to fast)and she was very wary. She would cry every time a person walked into the children's waiting room. She is so lovely that lots of hospital employees came to see her once they heard she was there.
Then they were ready for her. The anesthisiologist applied the gas and as she clutched her favorite puppy she fell asleep.
The proceedure would take an hour.
As I waiting in the recovery waiting room Fred dropped Ellie off at school. This would be her first FULL day since her seizure on Dec. 21. She stayed till 3pm so Fred would not have to rush to get her. Ellie was thrilled and told all of her friends that she was staying all day. Fred got to the hosptial recovery room about 5 minutes after they led me in to see her.
I could hear her before they opened the doors. She was being held by a nurse and wanted nothing to do with her. The minute I picked her up she quieted down. Momma does not like drama! She snuggled in and drank from her sippy cup. Fred came in minutes after and Sagan was content.
We drove 10 minutes to our favorite breakfast spot, First W*tch, and Sagan ate scrambled eggs and pancake. She was smiling and being her silly self.
Now one more hurdle this week. Ellie's EEG on Friday morning. No biggie.
