Videos! Sagan's Home 3 Months!

If you remember in earlier posts I really wanted to change Sagan's name to Alice in honor of my mother who passed away in 2006. Fred really encouraged us to keep Sagan and honor her with the "A" in Amelia. Now, three months later, I smile and think of my mother. Why? Well, it just so happened that Sagan's nick name is Sa-Sa (Say Say). Nothing planned it just happened that way.

Why do I mention it? Well one of my mother's 2 favorite children's songs were, "A You're Adorable" and "Say Say My Playmate."

Say, say, oh playmate,
Come out and play with me
And bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree

When every I sing to Sagan it's nearly always this song. There you go. "Say Say" Sagan's connection to my mother. Greater than Alice. My mother is so wise. She knew and would not let Fred change the name. Thanks mom.



Ellie and Sagan are both wonderful children. I am just now getting used to Sagan. As odd as that sounds and as much as I love Sagan her personality is quite different from Ellie's. We are working through the whines by teaching her words like please, thank you, more, and done. This small bit of vocabulary has helped to curb her need to whine. She is a joy and quite a smarty. She will walk up to us with a book in her hand and say, "Please!" This in place of throwing books at us and throwing herself on the ground!
