A Girl and Her Kitty! Ellie and Uma

We adopted Uma on April 29, 2007 just after the passing of Nala. She was only 8 weeks old and a darling little kitten. Today she is 18 months and roughly 14 lbs. Yes, we have big cats in our home! Ellie and Uma have been thick as thieves since that day we brought her home. Uma slept with me in our bed for her first 4 months home. Always sleeping on my pillow with me and a single paw placed on my head. It was very sweet.

Today and for the past year Uma sleeps with Ellie. Either beside, up against, or at the foot of her bed. They are always together. Uma loves Ellie. Ellie loves Uma. Ellie will call for Uma at bedtime and Uma will come prancing in and jump on the bed to settle on the pillows next to Ellie. She will make a bed for Uma on her twin bunk bed. Uma sleeps beside her most of the night.
