Happy Birthday to My Mother!

My wonderful mother, who passed away April 22, 2006, is celebrating her birthday on another plane this weekend. Ellie, Sagan, and I sang, "Happy Birthday to You," out loud to her.

I know she can hear me, see her granddaughters, and enjoy the music I play for her. Barry Manilow, Charles Aznavour and Neil Diamond are some of her favorites. I call out her name and ask her to sit with me to enjoy her music.

It's not the same without you and with the holidays fast approaching even more difficult to deal with. I hope you know that you are in my thoughts. I know you are looking over my shoulder as I write this and I wanted to tell you once again how much I love you. Judith is just a phone call away and I plan to talk to you through her in December. I know you are not a fan of cats but please pet Cessna and Nala for me. I miss them terribly. I hope Cessna is enjoying Nala's company.

I love you. I miss you. You are such a part of me and my girls.
