Potty Training....I Guess?

***** Update Wednesday Morning******

One wet diaper on Tuesday. Running to the potty all day. Purchased pull ups so she does not need us to escort her to the potty. Also, woke up on Wednesday DRY and ran to the potty! My good girl!

****UPDATE!!! Tuesday Morning*****
This morning Sagan woke up with a dry diaper and immediately said, "Mommy, potty please." She emptied her tank and I was stunned. Then about 30 minutes later said to me from the couch, "Mommy, potty please" and ran to the potty to go again. Stunned and elated is how I feel. While potty training is an achievement in itself we are thrilled to overcome an obstacle that we might face because of her diagnosis of Spina Bifida. She has control over the muscles surrounding her bladder. It's wonderful news!!!


Today was quite odd in that I think Sagan is potty trained. Something just clicked and we have not changed one wet diaper today. Don't ask me!

Sagan began to run around the house grabbing at her pants. She was in distress and we thought a UTI or constipation. She pulled me into the bathroom and wanted to sit on the potty. I helped her undress and put her on the training potty. Not 5 minutes later we had a full bladder emptied and a smiling child. Again, please don't ask.

It happened 2 more times today. No wet diapers!

Let us see what tomorrow brings. I am not betting the farm, but she is a quick learner and so bright. I am all for it. Sherri sent panties in Sagan's birthday box and I hope to use them on Wednesday or Thursday if this trend continues.

Wow! To be out of diapers at early 2's would be interesting.
