Love a quick vacation! 24 hours! We are famous for quick turnaround vacations.
We drove to Jupiter, home of my brother/sister in law and the cousins, where we had lunch and abandoned the children to a night of slumber party fun!
The girls played and played. They had an Easter Egg hunt and taco night. Auntie Pauline kept the girls going till about 10:30pm (Sagan DID NOT have a nap so she was very stubborn/exhausted). I gave the thumbs up for Sagan to soothe herself with her thumb as mommy was not putting her to sleep. Sagan kept Lily up most of the night with her snoring. Poor Lily!
Fred and I drove to Hollywood which is only 20 minutes from Sun Life stadium where the Paul McCartney Concert was being held.
The hotel I booked was not ready for anyone to check into their rooms yet so the lobby was littered with people sitting and waiting. Thank goodness that Marriott allows you to cancel up until 6pm the day of check in. I went back to Fred in the car and used my laptop to cancel the reservations. We booked the Renaissance in Planation about 15 minutes from the original hotel. It was lovely and posh! It was also 15.00 a night cheaper! The hotel was only 97.00 for one night. Great price for Easter Weekend! They also had a Starbucks downstairs!
So we checked into our lovely new hotel then drove to the Ale House in Hollywood to eat an early dinner with Mac. Fred and Mac never skipped a beat. Talk talk talk. Zinger salad...YUM!
At 530 Fred and Mac left to go to the concert. I left to enjoy the posh hotel. I cranked my laptop and began our 2009 taxes. Please don't ask. It was very sad!
About 1/2 way through the taxes I put my boots back on and ventured to the lobby to grab a coffee and key lime pie from the restaurant. YUMMY! I brought it up to our room and completed the dismal task of taxes (now made so much better by the pie and coffee).
As 830 came around I began to fade. I didnt expect to get Fred until 1am so I thought to sleep a bit before having to drive to get him. So I washed my face clean and took my contacts out. I burrowed beneath the covers, in jeans and a t-shirt, for about 3.5 hours. All the while the lovely chime of my phone when Fred would send me a picture from the concert or tell me which song he was enjoying at the moment.
Here is one of the two best songs of the night:

This is the other one:
This morning we picked up the girls and came home at about 1pm. The kids are so exhausted. (Parent too!)
We have declared today a "Lazy Sunday." We will stay in and play.
