We have a Homestudy Agency!

Yesterday we were able to "shop" several agencies for Emersyn's homestudy.

I called and emailed each agency. I waited for replies. Two never contacted us in any respect. Three did and the last one would be our agency. WHFC, our adoption agency in Boston, recommended a small agency right here in Orlando.

Our social worker will be DH. We met her years and years ago. Ellie must have been 2. We came to a WHFC event here in Orlando and we sat next to her. Small world?

The great thing is that their agency is discounting our adoption! I was stunned at the price we were quoted. Because we have done everything twice before and have all our documents already lined up they brought it down to a low amount!!! By shopping for this agency we saved THOUSANDS!!!

What's next:

January 29 is our doctors visits (blood work was done last week).
Local Background checks (A quick drive downtown.)
Fred's letter from his company.

We must take the 20 hour Hague Compliance courses. I plan to complete them over three days. January 25 is my target date to complete. Will start immediately.

Homestudy: to be started in a week.

Again, the goal is to have the completed homestudy and paperwork sent to the CIS by February 14. The wait for approval is up to 5 months. We shall see.
