Blog, blog, blog and a VIDEO!!!

After fading in and out yesterday Sagan fell asleep about 7:30pm. She had her first bath with us and I washed her hair. Not so much fuss. Thank goodness! We are getting to know her cries very well. Exhaustion, is the cry we heard most of the first day.

She did enjoy her awake time in Disney's Anmial Kingdom. She woke up at one point and smiled! Sagan clapped her hands and enjoyed the music playing by one of the African bands. She had a snack and then promptly passed out again. Ellie is now using our terminology, "Mommy, Sagan is passed out cold."

I will be honest. That first night Fred and I both thought, "Oh no, what have we done? What a grave mistake!" Sagan was crying so much (screeching loud) and it was just torture. But she finds great comfort in her crib and her stuffed puppy. Again, we are learning. When she is awake and happy she is beyond lovely. She has a sweet smile and is talking to us now in baby language. It's early Sunday (1:35am) morning and though she slept for 6 hours is ready for a few more hours. I gave her some creal bites and some baby food (Pear granola...YUM!) which she happily consumed. When she wanted me to hold her I knew she wanted to go back to sleep.
