Heading South

Today is a trip to Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. We are going down for a 24 hour visit. We will have lunch today with the cousins, I will be shooting some video for Pauline's FLVS classroom, and the Fred and I (perhaps Say) will go south for the Paul McCartney concert. Fred and his friend Michael will be going to the concert. I am not a big fan of concerts. If it were Barry Manilow or Yo Yo Ma I would be all over those tickets. But for now I will be happy to let Fred enjoy the classic tunes of Sir Paul.

I plan to enjoy an evening of Starbucks coffee and my lovely laptop...doing our taxes. I need about 4 hours of sitting in front of my computer without the distraction of my lovely girls/FLVS/laundry. I can do it tonight and send them out on Monday just in time. While the hotel does not have room service, this is my idea of "roughing it," there is a Starbucks nearby. I will grab a cake/pastry (Though I may have to run into Publix as I am craving carrot cake!) for the hotel room and get into my snuggly PJ's and put my favorite film on my laptop to listen to ask I seek out receipts and deductions. Give me a good Jane Austen film anyday. Ahhhh, Mr. Darcy!

Fred and Michael McNamee have been friends since childhood. They knew each other in elementary school and have maintained their friendship. It will be great seeing him today for an early dinner and then the boys will head off together to the stadium for the Paul McCartney concert.

Here are some pics of the bff's:

I believe this is AFTER high school but I love the photograph.
